10 Questions With Sanctuary Member Irene Herrera

How did you hear about Sanctuary Fitness?

I heard about Sanctuary Fitness through a friend/co-worker. It is across the street from my job so I felt that this would be easier for me to stay committed and focus.

Where or what did you do for fitness prior to joining Sanctuary?

Prior to joining Sanctuary fitness, my fitness level was very minimal. I have never really exercised in a gym setting, because I felt somewhat intimidated. However, working out at Sanctuary Fitness has changed that feeling.

What was your first class experience with us like?

My first experience with Sanctuary Fitness was difficult at first, but the trainers had me focus on what I was able to do. They had me do modified version exercises, which really helped. The class was also very FUN!

Why did you join our Sanctuary family?

I joined Sanctuary fitness because it was close to work and I love the classes. The trainers are helpful and the members are very friendly. The environment is wonderful!

In your words, what makes Sanctuary Fitness special?

Sanctuary Fitness is special to me because for the first time in my life, I have started to focus on my health. They have taught me that exercise and my health is important in life. Since starting, I have lost 15 lbs. and gained muscle. I am very excited about my future with Sanctuary Fitness.

Have you learned anything about yourself since joining Sanctuary?

After joining Sanctuary Fitness, I have learned that I am strong, I am confident, and that I love fitness. I have never felt better in my life.

What is your favorite thing to eat after class?

My favorite thing to eat after class are: salads, protein shakes, bars, and drink a lot of water!

What is the last good book you read?

I have not read a good book recently.

Tell us something about you that not many people know.

I would say that I am very committed person, once I start something I stay positive and focus on my goal. Prior to this I have never really enjoyed working out.

What would you say to someone new to Sanctuary?

I would say to someone new joining Sanctuary Fitness: Don’t be afraid or intimidated. The classes are fun and the trainers are very helpful. If you want to see change in yourself, you should join Sanctuary Fitness.
